Sheep Kids- A New Adventure

Sheep Kids- A New Adventure
Over the past many years Children’s Ministry has taken a variety of different forms at The Sheep. So many of our difficulties in providing a full service children’s program have been due to the limitations of space available to us and as a result we have lost some families who’s needs we’ve been unable to meet on a Sunday morning. This is of course heartbreaking for all of us and has resulted in much prayer and discussion as to how we can serve our families and community better.

An amazing opportunity presented itself in the past few weeks for us to rent the house NEXT DOOR to RPAC and we determined that the space was a perfect fit for what we are requiring. With a little vision, some simple renovations and a coat or two of paint we are creating a place that The Sheep kids can call home (for an hour or two on Sunday morning anyway!)

This space will allow for so many great opportunities to The Sheep family! Along with giving us designated spaces for various age groups on Sunday morning it will also provide meeting rooms, a kitchen and storage for our weekly needs.

Starting May 1st, children 3 and over will be checked in at the Kid’s House next door at 10:15. Children 2 and under will still be in the basement at the RPAC.

Parents are invited to then grab a coffee and bagel downstairs at the RPAC and the service will commence at 10:30am.

At approximately 11:15 am teachers will bring children from next door to join their parents for the remaining portion of the service. Nursery care will be available the entire service time (10:15-11:45) for those 2 and under to allow parents to fully relax and engage.

As always this new format is a work in progress and will require some tweaking and patience from all involved until we are able to iron out the details!

Please feel free to communicate with us any questions , concerns or suggestions you may have.
